Savannah Magnussen-Afonso, a real estate agent with the Magnussen Real Estate Team of Remax Landan is the founder of Beyond The Blue. Residing in Calgary, AB along with her husband who has been a member of the Calgary Police Service since 2007, and 3 sons, Savannah has been the President of Calgary Beyond The Blue since its inception in 2014 watching it grow to 500 members strong.  Savannah is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health issues, creating a safe community for police families to connect and has an inherent gift for uplifting others.

Dilnaz Garda, a high school teacher with the York Regional District School Board, is dedicated to sharing her personal experience with mental illness in the hopes of encouraging others to share their stories and join in the movement of normalizing discussion around mental health. In 2016, tragedy struck her family when Toronto Police Constable Darius Garda, brother of Dilnaz, died by suicide while dealing with PTSD and other mental health issues. As the current President of TBTB, Dilnaz works to make a sustainable cultural shift in the area of mental health and well-being for TPS officers/members and their families.
