BENEFITS TO YOUR SERVICE

Organizations are only as strong as the employees who serve in them and employees are only as strong as the people who support them.

Employee well-being directly affects how employees think and feel about their job and organization. Well-being is a complex combination of a person's physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Well-being is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction.

Members and their families will benefit from programs, workshops, events, and resources offered by a BTB Chapter. BTB members reap untold benefits from improving one's social connectedness, feeling of belonging to a community.

We looked at a couple of existing Canadian and American Associations and ultimately decided it best to become a Chapter of Canada Beyond the Blue.”

WHY OUR MODEL WORKS

Mental health resources and support systems for families are often not recognized by the existing benefit programs of police services, nor are there proactive programs that empowered families to identify signs of OSI, PTSD and other on the job stressors that can plague our community.

While we strive to collaborate with the police service in a given location, BTB Chapters must remain independently operated in order to best serve our community.  A BTB Chapter can fill the gap in family support without burdening the service with this task.

Canada BTB and its Chapters are run by volunteers who are family members of law enforcement officers/civilian members and this vested interest drives their passion and dedication.

Chapter funding comes largely from donations, sponsorships, fundraising initiatives as well as the police service and member's association in each location.
